As well as excellent villa facilities, Moraira and adjoining El Portet offer two beaches which are very safe and are ideal for children to swim. The clean sandy beaches shelve gradually and offer shallow water for the very young. The coverted blue flag award for the cleanliness of the beaches is strongly protected. There is also a super marina with quality fish restaurants on the periphery. Essential shops, including supermarkets are similarly within walking distance. The area is very well serviced by numerous reasonably priced good quality restaurants and there are other local facilities including golf, tennis, watersports etc.

There are many places of interest within easy driving distance. The cities of Valencia and Alicante, both of which are about an hour's drive, provide features of historic interest. Benedorm is about 30 miles away and offers many attractions including dolphins, one of the largest water parks in Europe and the excellent new complex Terra Mitica which boasts many Disney type attractions including white knuckle rides. The famous Eagles Nest at Guadelest built by the Moors twelve hundred years ago is well worth a visit as are the El Algar Waterfalls.

The Jalon Valley, some ten miles away, offers many good quality restaurants as well as a wide range of excellent local wines.

Moraira offers a good all year round climate with average temperatures ranging from 63°F in December to February to 78°F in May and 90°F in July and August. For the cooler evenings all villas have central heating and the pools have the benefit of solar panel heating.
